03APR2026 - Kilworth won her second race of the season on Sunday at the annual Ascot Spring Family Race Day, claiming The Barrie Wells Box4Kids Novice Handicap Hurdle. Race.
Despite being upped in class she again showed her potential for longer distances by repeating the form of her previous staying handicap, pulling clear at the last to be first across the line over the 2m7.5f trip by 3.75 lengths.

Expertly steered throughout by the talented Ben Jones she remained prominent thanks to a brave inside ride and was shaken up to lead after two out. Challenged at the last by the superbly ridden Hard Dealt, Kilworth found the turn of foot to pull away and win the race conclusively.
As well as the winning jockeys trophy, Ben also cemented his place at the top of the Ascot Riders Championship with his ninth win at the course this seaosn. Congratulations from all of us.
