Who we are
HOE Racing are a group of acquaintances and horse racing enthusiasts based across the south of England from Wiltshire to Surrey via Hampshire. Entrepreneur Michael Hayward, retired chemical engineer John Oakey and former jockey Ralph Elliot purchased their first horse together and thus HOE Racing was born.
We try to bring the thrill of racing to friends & family and with the help of our wonderful horses we have shared some truly memorable moments for over 5 years and counting.
We’ve been lucky enough to attend events like Ladies Day at Fontwell Park, Haydock challenger finals weekend, the Cheltenham April & November meetings and Family Day at Ascot which included literal and figurative fireworks.
Like all owners we strive to compete at the highest level possible and our fabulous Jubilympics showcased her heart and determination to place in the class 2 Betway Challenger Series Mares’ Chase Final at Haydock Park (below) in 2020.
In his heyday, hurdler Rebel Intentions (above) produced a form line of 1213, and operated at Class 3 level at Ascot and the home of jumps racing Cheltenham producing some magic moments along the way.
