Farewell Rebel
06JUN2025 - It is with a mix of pride and heartfelt gratitude that we bid farewell to Rebel Intentions, a remarkable thoroughbred who left an indelible mark on everyone at HOE Racing and The Bonita Racing Yard.
Joining us in October 2022, he was a stablemate of the esteemed Paisley Park and through the course of his career, Rebel displayed his undeniable talent and determination, securing three wins and placing in numerous races.
He first tasted victory at Fontwell Park in what would prove to be the first race in a memorable run during the autumn of 2023. A battling second at Plumpton followed before the pinnacle of his achievements in November 2023, when he triumphed at Ascot in the first race of the day in front of a packed weekend crowd, a victory that will forever be etched in our memories.
His spirited performances and tenacity from the front exemplified the best of racing, earning him the admiration of trainers, jockeys, and fans alike.
He picked up that autumn form in 2024 coming back from out of the clouds to finish second at Stratford and followed up with a win at Kempton Park in fine style. He even led the field round at Cheltenham with regular rider Joe Anderson donning the green and gold stars live on national televisions ITV Racing.
Rebel departed for Laskill Grange, Yorkshire in April 2025, but his legacy will live on within the hearts of those who had the privilege to share his journey. As we reflect on the moments shared and the victories celebrated, we extend our deepest gratitude to ‘the big lad’ Rebel Intentions for his contributions to HOE.
